From Chester and the east
A55 to junction 28Stay on the A55 westbound past Holywell and leave at junction 28, signposted B5429 Rhuallt and Trefnant. At the end of the slip road bear left onto Waen Road. Follow Waen Road for about a mile and a half to the T junction at the end. Turn left and we are the first property on the left.

A55 to junction 28Head east on the A55 and leave at junction 28, signposted B5429 Rhuallt and Tremeirchion. At the roundabout turn left onto the B5429, then right, still on the B5429, and then left onto Waen Road. Follow Waen Road for about a mile and a half to the T junction at the end. Turn left and we are the first property on the left.

Inland via TremeirchionFrom Trefnant, take the A541 Bodfari Road and turn left after about a mile. From Denbigh, take the A525 towards St Asaph and turn right about three quarters of a mile past the roundabout. Either way, follow that road for two to three miles, then turn left onto the B5429 and carry straight on into Tremeirchion along Heol-y-Brenin. Turn left in the village and the yard is on the right after about a mile. Do not take the old lane from Trefnant over the Clwyd: Llanerch Bridge collapsed in 2021 and has not been rebuilt, so ignore any old satnav that sends you that way.
From Denbigh about 7 miles and 15 minutes, from Trefnant about 5 miles and 11 minutes.From Rhyl and the coast
A525 to St Asaph, then the A55Take the A525 inland through Rhuddlan to St Asaph and join the A55 eastbound at junction 27. Leave one junction later at junction 28 and follow the directions from the west. It keeps you off the coast road.
From Rhyl about 9 miles and 20 minutes.Lanes, passing places and one wrong turn to avoid
Once you turn onto Waen Road the road narrows, and beyond the T junction it is single track with passing places. It is used by tractors and by us, so everybody expects to reverse a little. With a twin-axle on the back, take it slowly and use the passing places rather than the verges, which are softer than they look after rain.
At the T junction you will see No Through Route signs to the right. They are for Llanerch Bridge, which collapsed in 2021, and do not affect the way to us: turn left and the lane is open all the way. People have turned round at them and rung to say they cannot get through, and they can.
There are two entrances off the lane. The wooden double gates are the farm's own access and are usually shut. The storage entrance is the steel barrier a little further on. Satnavs tend to stop you at the first one.
Self storage customers let themselves in from 7am to 7pm, seven days a week. Caravan and vehicle drop-offs and collections are by booked slot between 5am and 8pm, with at least twelve hours notice so a member of staff can have the vehicle out and ready.
What happens when you pull in
Pull in, do not stop in the lane
Come through the barrier and onto the hardstanding. The lane is single track and a caravan parked in it blocks the farm.
There is room to turn
You can turn a car and twin-axle inside the yard without unhitching, so there is no need to reverse back up the lane.
Somebody is usually about
If the yard looks empty we are somewhere on the farm. Ring the number and one of us will come out.
Collections are ready and waiting
Given twelve hours notice your vehicle is already out of its space and facing the right way to hitch up.
