What CaSSOA is
The Caravan Storage Site Owners Association grades storage sites bronze, silver and gold against a published standard covering the perimeter, monitoring, record keeping and management. An inspector visits. A site cannot simply pay to display the badge.
The three grades
Bronze covers the basics of a secured site. Silver adds monitoring and access control. Gold is the top grade and requires the full set: a secure perimeter, recorded surveillance, controlled access, proper records of who is on site and what is stored there.

- Re-inspection is required to keep the grade
Why insurers care
Most caravan insurers ask where the van is kept when it is not in use, and many either require an accredited site or price the risk differently depending on the grade. It is worth telling your insurer the grade rather than just the postcode.
How it applies here
This site holds Gold, and holds it on inspection of what is genuinely on the ground: purpose-built steel barriers, recorded CCTV across the yard and the indoor unit, infrared sensors out of hours, and a working farm with people living on it every night of the year.
